The Throndarn Forest was a picturesque scene. So serene and soothing, one could not help but feel content within its boundaries. Such was its beauty and mystique, even the fae folk; the elves and other magical creatures came to regard it as perhaps the greatest place anyone could be. A lithe, colorful figure made its way through the trees. The scourge of mankind as many regarded the species: dragons.

The first chapter of a novel I've been working on for well over a year. It reached thirteen chapters previously, but now I'm revising it. It was once known as Saving the Dragons, but I decided on a different, better title.

The man whose name has been uttered by dragons in fear and contempt stood tall, taller than Daniel, at approximately six feet and two inches. Silky ebony hair fell just a bit past his ears. His tresses had an unusual coloration. At the fringes of each lock of hair, it was a rich shade of navy blue. As one's eyes drifted towards the center of the man's head, it could be seen that the navy blue melded evenly into that deep midnight shade that dominated the color of his hair.

Hey everyone! Now, as I'd said in my previous journal, Shade105 is leaving the Spyro fandom. BUT! And I mean a HUGE but! There's a chance he may be willing to come back. To all his watchers, I implore you, sign this petition if you've read and really, REALLY like his Spyro fanfiction, Let My Fire Guide You Home/The Uses of Shadows, or any other Spyro thing he's done, sign this petition! If we have enough signatures, if Shade105 sees that a lot of people like his work, he may be motivated to return to the fandom!

Edit (September 28th, 2009): Hey everyone! Great news; 18 signatures are now on this petition. Shade saw it yesterday when it was at 17 and he was pleasantly surprised. He even said that he's already reconsidering his previous choice. Let's keep pushing forward, and hopefully this petition will work!
